Title: Petrol tank repair
Post by: chrisx1 on 14 Jul, 2026, 13:13
I have a tank which I think is stove enamelled. It has a couple of dents which I want to fill and then paint. What is the best paint to go over stove enamelling?

A stove-enamelled tank would be very unusual given the heat required.
Sure it's not 2 pack?

Can you post a picture of the dents?

I don't think it's two pack . I will try and post photos of where the paint is chipped off but I couldn't post pics from my phone last time I tried.

I remember a friend of mine had his Bonneville tank stove enamelled in the 70s so it can be done.
