Title: Mystery bracket for my "new" '35 BSA B-2
Post by: Macneill on 29 May, 2026, 04:05
This bracket was in a box of misc parts with the bike. It certainly looks like it should fit to the hole in the bottom of the fender just behind the mag ? . But... there is no corresponding cross member for it to connect to. Can anybody out there kindly enlighten me ?   I've been through my 1935 BSA parts book and no sign of that part in there that I can see.

That bracket looks identical to ones fitted to the top of the rear mudguard on my 1939 C10's. It's spot welded to the mudguard and attaches to the crosspiece of the frame behind the saddle???

You can just see it in this picture from my parts book. Just a thought as someone asked me about that bracket just this week.  Ron

Hello Ron,
Thank you Ron (and Owen).  You have nailed down is exactly what my bracket is...fender to saddle cross-member support piece. I can see on my fender where it once was attached.   Thanks for the help.   Ain't the internet just grand !
