Title: B40 silencer
Post by: Stubaker58 on 28 May, 2026, 09:42
Hi all,

Now that my B40 is running I cannot but notice that it is VERY loud.
It's on a high level pipe with a 'peanut' "silencer" which I think is original BSA and appears to be straight through.

Does anyone know of a shorty silencer which would be a direct replacement but quieter?

Thanks

Can you fabricate a mute to go in the end of the exhaust pipe before it eners the silencer.
Armours do them , but I had a length of perforated steel tube , cut a slot along its length to allow it to squeeze together inside the pipe and smashed the end shut.
Thereby making the exhaust go through the perforations.
