Title: A10 sump plate drain plug
Post by: espeas on 15 Apr, 2026, 08:43
I have drained the sump on my recently purchased A10 and noticed there is no washer for the 3/8 Whitworth drain plug. Can anyone advise regarding sourcing the correct washer or could I use a sealant such as Wellseal

I keep a boxes of assorted copper and fibre washers.  They don't cost much and you will always need one in a hurry.
You can get a box of 600 fibre washers for £8 on e-bay.  OK you will leave 563 in your will but the other 37 will save you a fortune.

You can make up a DIY Dowty washer by getting a small O ring and putting it inside a larger washer.
