Having discarded the very old twin choke cables . I set about fitting new replacement ones
( How naïve to think it would be simple ) the inner was far too short . As they was no obvious way to arrive at the right length on the inner cable I resorted to making them up. The Hornet has a 2 onto 1 brass junction box fitted, and I cannot for the life of me work out what the correct inner cable length needs to be ? . Thank You .
Faced with a similar problem I resorted to getting a bit of brass tube the size of the nipple and crimping it on a bit longer than I thought. They trying the fit until I got it right then cutting, splaying and soldering it on. Don't forget to set and cable adjuster to its mid position before you cut the inner. I now cut the outer and fit an in-line cable adjuster if there isn't one to make life a bit easier. I save them from old throttle cables.
