Title: Trispark ignition on B50
Post by: Searle on 13 Mar, 2026, 13:16
Has anyone used a Trispark ignition system on a B50

When I set it up using the instructions the ignition is extremely retarded and the bike wont start
I now have the bike running and the number 2 timing mark lines up with the pointer when fully advanced as it should.

However in this set up the Trispark set up light comes on at 50 degrees BTDC well before it would be if set up to the number 2 mark and the pointer (at 32 degrees BTDC).

I have checked the rotor and the pointer and they are in the correct place relative to the piston BTDC (9.7mm)

Any thought or experience of this

On my pazon unit it says that if the two wires to the ignition trigger are crossed the ignition will be very retarded.

Just read the instructions for the tenth time and I must have been reading what I was thinking it would say rather than what it actually said.
It is all correct now
