Title: Help with identification
Post by: Andicuda on 27 Dec, 2025, 10:28
This is a photo of my Father, late 50s or early 60s? Could be a gold star? Any information on the model, year etc.? Sadly passed away last month and this picture was at the funeral never seen it before, although he did tell me he has a motorbike back in the day.

It looks like a 500cc A7 from about 1953/54.

It's a 1953 Star Twin - 8in front brake but no valance on mudguard, plus distinctive tank badges .... see https://www.bsaownersclub.co.uk/bsa-1953-2 for the range that year.  FCF reg is West Suffolk Dec 52 up to Jun 1953.

A very nice looking bike. I like the twin spot-lights and headlamp eyelid!
