Title: A10 side stand pad
Post by: Neil White on 21 Dec, 2025, 12:35
Good morning and Season's Greeting to all.

Can anyone recommend a side stand pad to fit over the existing foot?  These seems plentiful for more modern bikes (e.g. Evotech) but I'm struggling to find one for my 1960 GF as the foot itself it quite slim and small.

Any suggestions other than  a pad you place under the stand would be appreciated together with a supplier details.

I've seen a neat mod where someone has shaped a bit of 1/2 mild steel to the same as the foot them brazed it on.  Once painted it hardly shows.
My own strategy has always been to use the road camber or any unevenness in the ground to make up for the deficiency of the side stand.

I welded a 1/4" thick foot to my current side stand, extending it by at least 1/2" would have been better but owt is better than nowt.
