Me again,
The boxes of parts are getting fewer and empty as I rebuild my C15. (I did not take it apart hence all my questions).
Can anyone point me in the direction of where the attached bracket belongs ?. Looks like it holds a cable and maybe wiring separately.
Hopefully disassemble the tin work in a week or so to send it off for painting. Any suggestions for painters in North Lincolnshire ?.
Hi Paul,
No idea about the bracket and I have not used any local painters yet but I know some people who do. Rather than me ask them and then pass this on why not ask them directly.
The Lincolnshire Branch has its northern gathering at Jenny's Cafe in Hibaldstow this Sunday from about 10.30.
We are currently few in number so you would help to swell the numbers.
Dave.
I've had my C15F totally to bits, and am in the process of rebuilding it. I'd be 100% confident that that part is not from a C15F.
If it is from your 1961 bike I would be looking in the parts book at the primary chaincase. It looks a bit like the sort of steel used for chain tensioners. But very possibly not part of your bike at all.
Hi,
Try doing a search for the number on it.
Dave.
Thanks everyone,
Using good old google it turns out to be a "Mercedes FUEL LINE TO CYLINDER HEAD Bracket", so I guess it does not fit my C15, Nice bracket so it can go in the "Useful you never know bucket".
How it got in the box of C15 parts will be a mystery.
Jenney's cafe is not far away I will try to get there this Sunday.
Hi,
I look forward to meeting up.
Dave.
