Title: A65 centre stand alternatives for h/l pipes
Post by: nablats on 29 Oct, 2025, 18:39
My bike has h/l pipes and no c/stand. I was trying to resist fitting one, as it might look odd with h/l pipes.
However, due to damn tractor hedge trimmers round here, I need to be able to mend punctures out on a ride.
Someone suggested cutting the sticky out bit off a s/hand one so it doesnt look naff.
Then I started looking at modding an old car scissor jack, probably easier to use, especially on softer grass verges, (like the last time I got a thorn in my tube), though finding a cunning place to store it could be tricky.
Any thoughts chaps?

A center stand is available for the Hornet without the 'foot' but it is more costly than the std one ?

My RR has 2:1 pipes and a centre stand with no foot.  Looks fine, but its very hard to get on the stand without the foot.

Thanks chaps, I will buy my mates stand and chop it. I am going to find a plate that will fit on or be part of a rear rack, for soft ground.
