Title: ex-works A50R
Post by: DAVE BRADY on 07 Oct, 2025, 16:41
Hi,

A few years ago I post about some strange A50/A65 rocker shafts.  They were eccentrically adjusted - I cannot find the photo posted.
The upshot of this was that I ended up sending them to Canada to part of an A50R restoration.
Here is a photo of the completed bike that has taken its rider to two Canadian Vintage Roadracing Championships.
You never know how useful those obscure parts that lurk in the shed can be.

Dave.

It's a shame I didn't know about them. I could have got them blue printed and copied. Sadly now lost in the ether.

Hi Allan,

They did not fit a standard head and I think the amount of adjustment was limited.  More useful are the Devimead rockers with adjusters acting on the pushrod and a radiused 'shoe' acting on the valve.  I did post a picture but here it is again.

Hi Dave,
I am unable to access your photos
Rule 504 timed out.
Which is a great shame as I would love to see them. Lots of great forums are spoilt due to the limited time the photos are stored online.
