Title: Technical drawing of 1969 Starfire frame
Post by: iansoady on 26 Sep, 2025, 14:28
Hi there.

I wonder if anyone might have a side elevation dimensioned drawing of a 1969 Starfire frame - pre-oil in frame, gusseted steering head, welded in seat loop. It will help me move forward with my sidecar project.

Many thanks in advance

Many thanks Alan, the link doesn't work but I found the manual on the site and am downloading it.

That's the 1971 on unit single OIF not pre OIF.

Yes, mine is pre-OIF. The diagram pointed to by Alan is correct for my bike and I've printed it out so I can start designing the sidecar attachment lugs. I was initially thinking of using the steering head gusset but have decided it's too weedy for the job so will make a split clamp to fit on the downtube.
