Title: 1970 A65T Rear shock
Post by: watts on 20 Aug, 2025, 22:23
I am thinking its time to replace them.

It currently has 13.4" ones but I read somewhere it should have 12.9" ones?

I wondered putting some Girling ones or Hagon.

Any recommendations.

Thank you
Matthew

I've always had good results with Hagon. Used them on a variety of bikes from a Suzuki 90, Honda 500 Suzuki GT750 as well as the BSA A65.  Hagon will also provide user specific springs etc to suit you and how you ride.  Eg my Honda seemed very hard on the rear suspension.  I provided info on my weight (ahem!) etc, retuned the shocks and Hagon revised the springing to suit.  Great service.  Rob

Had the Hagons and they are ok, but not great. Eventually changed them out for some NJB ultimate shocks. Not only cheaper than Hagons rip off price mark but a hundred times better.

Your 1970 should have 13.4" the oif went back to 12.9" for 71, then 12.4" for 72 (in a poor attempt to lower the seat height)
