Post by: nhinrichsen on 16 Jul, 2025, 08:38
Hello colleagues,

my father and i recently got the BSA and need an exploded view of the engine.

I have searched the whole internet but haven't found anything yet. Maybe one of you can help me.

Best regards

Niels

There's a drawing fo the 1929 engine in the members area (https://www.bsaownersclub.co.uk/member/get-draw/roll-1/25-0047) ... thumbnail attached, but you need to be a member to access the original (another good reason to join!!)

I recently sold my 1932 G32/10 986 Vee Twin which I owned from 1974 due to old age. The 1933 & 1932 986 Vee Twin has detatchable cylinder heads and positive gravity oil feed via tank sight feed to hollow crankshaft direct to the big end. Earlier models had drip feed to big end from between the cylinders. Although I no longer have any paper work/ handbooks relating to my bike, went when I sold it, I have over 50 years of acquired knowledge if I can help.

Hi Neils, The picture of your 1933 986 Vee Twin BSA look to be very original. Although it needs restoring you should not have too much trouble. Best of Luck.
