Title: Removing gearbox mainshaft
Post by: Barnsey on 12 Jul, 2025, 10:40
I need to remove the gearbox mainshaft so that I can set up the endfloat.

I've been watching the Hugh Ferrier videos on YouTube, and it looks like he uses a couple of 'special tools' to pop the gearbox shaft off of the clutch.

Can anyone please advise on what I might need?

there are a number of different clutch pullers available some for 4 plate and some for 6 plate and they are different sizes but the good thind is they are inexpensive so its best to have all of them . This is the advertised one .https://www.feked.com/bsa-clutch-hub-extractor-puller-internal-thread-single-spring-and-6-spring-clutches.html?srsltid=AfmBOorCAsR2cz-snFS-fIp_v-SBF-eotIZRJmB5QMEipIDSbC9qPpgO

Thanks!   That one not for C15.   I found a C15 one on Ebay tho'  As you say, not too expensive, so I can try it out.
