Title: TRIBSA Scrambler Frame and Tank query
Post by: kiteflyer on 10 Jul, 2025, 12:36
Hi all, I recently bought this TRIBSA Scrambler..and have begun my journey of fettling and polishing.
There's plenty needs doing on this, but it's real pretty!
I really need to change the Fibreglass tank and would welcome some advice.
It's carrying a 1958 Triumph T110 engine and The Frame has a number stamped at the head stock beginning GA7-43XX I'm wondering if anyone knows what tanks would fit or have any recommendations..
I'm going to lose a few teeth on that rear sprocket too..

Nice to be here..
Bob

Any tank designed for a BSA swinging arm single or twin upto 1960 will fit.

Hi Bob,
I am in a similar situation. A7 frame with all alloy Tiger 100 motor. Just started the project and am wondering if an A65 Hornet tank would fit. Any ideas?

You can buy 2gall lyta tanks from UK suppliers but £5-600 or take a punt on an Indian one!

Your A7 frame has a central bolt to hold the tank on. You would need something similar to fit. Indian tanks that I have used have been pretty good.

So...I ordered a Goldstar Scrambler tank £185) from India via eBay..it only took 17 days to arrive..has a Monza Cap and looks pretty good..Needed an adapter for the fuel tap (M16 Male to 1/4 BSP Female) from Amazon £6.00
a couple of Vinyl Decals also eBay. Swapped the Carb inlet to Left hand side and I'm a very happy chap!

I have just ordered an aluminum Spitfire Scrambler tank for my A7 Tribsa from India. I shall let you know about the quality when it arrives. It is due next week. I have just received a steel central Catalina oil tank from India and it looks really good.
