Major battle with sludge tube cap.
So far I have drilled the peined holes and attacked it with an impact driver. The first driver I used was a cheapo Hilka one and the bit twisted like cheese so I invested in a nice Teng Tools one and the same thing happend. I have also heated the cap to try an remove any loctite etc. All to no avail.
I am thinking of drilling the cap and attacking it with a screw extractor. Is this a silly thing to do.
What is my next move?????
This tool?
Thats a really useful tool to have around. Where can we get one from?

The spare disk size 06 seems available and should be usable if adapted for your use.

Mine is size 3406 and is correct for A65 plug.
3407 is thicker and may not suit the dove tail slot.
Tried the screw extractor which didn't work. I ended up getting the caps machined out. Totally epic battle.
