Title: 1972 A65T inlet valve
Post by: Tony M on 03 Apr, 2025, 21:43
Morning all,
I'm after any info regarding the elusive and mythical oversize inlet valve. Seems everyone I've tried sells the 1.596" inlet valve which they claim to be standard for a 72 Thunderbolt.
This is obviously wrong as the set I bought are too small.
Does anyone have the correct part numbers for the bigger valves, and more importantly where can I get them?
Regards Tony

Hi,

SRM list a 1 3/4" or 43.5mm inlet valve for the A65.  I believe that it is intended for race tuned engines that have had the ports gas flowed to suit.
What size is the the valve you have?

Dave.
