You would need to post a better quality photo or photos and the numbers to get a date. Certainly the centre stand does not look like A10.

It looks like a 1958 onwards A10 in Sapphire Blue.

No definitely not the Haynes front cover bike, because they used my bike for that. The photo taken at their Sparkford premises in 1980.

The subject bike has 1960 UK on mudguards, tank and rear brake.

My A10 was originally that colour and was called Nutley Blue but doing an internet search it come up with Sapphire Blue and Nutley Blue as the same colour. Yeah?

Best way to find out is to read off the engine and frame numbers and contact Steve Foden by post at the BSAOC, who will tell you what it is and when it was supplied at £10 members £20 non members.

To find the Engine number look at the left hand side just below the cylinder block. For the frame number, look at the frame just in front of the tank on on the left hand side. You may need to go forward with a torch and look back in the gap. It is painted over or worse to find if the frame has been powder coated, but it there to see. It should be DA10 dot and five numbers for the engine and GA and a number, dot, and five numbers for a bike of that sort of age.

If you're a BSAOC member then there are service sheets, handbooks and other data in the members area of teh website ... if you're not a member then join!!!
Also - if you PM me the engine and frame number I can give you a heads up on the model / year.
