Hi everyone
Bit of a strange question and apologies for it, but will a Bantam fit in an estate car or would I have to start dismantling it.
It has been many years since I have seen one in the flesh and I just can't quite work it out.
It seems that there are none on offer near me in this God forsaken part of east Lincolnshire only cold, wind and more wind. You gotta love it.
Cheers
Ian
Front wheel off , passenger seat folded down
Should be fine
Great news and thanks
Hi Ian,
Don't forget that there is a Lincolnshire BSAOC Branch.
Although it is a big county there are various meeting places over the course of a month.
Next one up this end (I live in Hibaldstow) is at the Thornton Hunt Inn, Thornton Curtis from about 6.30 on the 25th March.
Dave.
Thanks Dave
I didn't know that, I will try and pop up for the next one.
Great stuff
Cheers
Ian
I bought a D14/4S and a B175 back from the IoW in a Mk2 Escort estate back in the late '80's.
Tanks, seats and front wheels off, and all fitted a treat.
Hi,
A well known member who no longer rode his A7SS, attended several Branch weekends and a few Internationals with a Bantam in a Fiesta. I think front wheel and mudguard removed to get it in.
If you look on the BSAOC website there a lot of information about joining etc.
Dave.
I used to put my D14 in the back of a 1987 VW passat estate, didn't have to take anything off the bike
I managed to put an M21 outfit into the back of a coal waggon. All that was needed was the removal of a front brake cable nipple. :-[

Brilliant room for one then no doubt. Thanks.

Damn those nipples, always getting in the way
My D1 fitted in my 5 series estate with both wheels in place.
