Title: Boyer EI on a C15
Post by: DAVE BRADY on 07 Mar, 2025, 14:58
Hi,

Does anyone know if a Boyer Mk3 for a twin will work on a single?  Looking to save some dosh as I have a Mk3 module.  The bike has a Boyer 6v single module fitted but I would like to go to 12v.

Dave.

I don't see why not, as the Boyer would give a spask on each revolution anyway (wasted spark). Might be worth asking Boyer - I've found them very helpful. http://boyerbransden.com/

Hi,

I have sent a message to Boyer and I will relay their reply as it may be useful to others.

Hi,

Reply from Boyer.

"12 Volt MK3 or Mk4 boxes for TRI/BSA twin cylinder engines can be used to run most 12 Volt single cylinder engines.

A 6 Volt box should not be used with 12 Volts.

Kind Regards"
