Hello
I wonder if anyone has a photo or description of the rear brake switch, bake pedal and side stand arrangement. My Haynes and the parts book are confusion.
Thank you
Matthew
Okay, here's a few pix. This is my M33. The brake rod only just misses the plunger shroud.
No side stand on my bike, but here's a rigid framed M series that has had one of those Ebay side stands fitted. The brake rod seems different; I suppose it doesn't have to dodge round the plunger shroud. The brake pedal stop is home made and designed, I think. My pedal rests against the footrest nut.
Hello Rog
Thank you they are very useful.
I had an odd collection of bits but it make sense now particularly the light switch.
Bedt wishes
Matthew
I forgot to say! The owner of the rigid bike told me he used a spot of weld to make sure the stand didn't rotate round the frame tube in use.
Hello Rog
Sounds like a good idea. It does rotate.
Thanks
Matthew

I drilled and tapped the clamp for a hidden grub screw as that's less intrusive and "permanent" than a blob of weld.
Still makes me whince when I see riders kicking the bike up on the sidestand though, no matter whether it's a BSA fitment or aftermarket. Stresses where stresses were never meant to be.
