Title: Extended bottom fork nut
Post by: Webbey on 07 Jan, 2025, 17:01
I've just stripped a set of A65(1967)two way damped front forks and the nut that holds the lower bush in place has a plain diameter extension on the opposite end to the threaded part. It certainly doesn't look like the one in the parts book, any ideas or information gratefully received. Thanks Pete
I've got a photo but can't seem to get it on here......

Same nuts on my 1968 A65 damper rod forks.

The one on the right in the photos. A10 type on left.

Interesting, thanks JulianS, I have 3 BSAs and all have, what you call, the A10 type.
My genuine A65 (1967)parts book shows only one type and it's not the extended one, my 67 A65 forks also have the shorter version.
