When I start taking apart a new to me bike, I always take a lot of photos. This time I missed taking a photo of the connection of the stop light switch to the frame. Using the trailing arm pivot bolt on the left side works, but that makes no sense. In addition, I have a bolt and spacer (#41-4055, Stop Light Switch Distance Collar) left over that I am sure are the correct way to connect the switch to the frame, but no place for it. Is it possible someone could describe the connection, or better yet, provide me a photo of a connected C15 stop light switch? Thanks.
Mine has a short bracket , 1 inch or so wide by about 2 or 3 inches long , slight dog leg along its length to bring it out parallel to the swinging arm.
It picks up the chaincase bolt above the swinging arm and the bracket points forwards.
A single 2ba bolt holds the switch to this bracket and the spring picks up a clamp around the brake actuating arm

AFAIK, the original switch was the Lucas 6SA type with it's attachment bracket (which had a offset pressing to bring it further out) being fastened to the swinging arm/rear frame loop pivot point. The switch (BSA part no. 19-1123) had a specfic arm that was bent to enable it being actuated by the rear brake lever above it's pivot and below the rear brake rod clevis. HTH
Got it. Ian C has what appears to be my situation. Thanks a bunch for everyone's help.
Aplogies that I am a bit late with this image. (There is a rubber cover yet to be fitted over the switch mechanism.)
