Title: Rebuild
Post by: spike123 on 26 Dec, 2024, 11:06
Hi guys
I'm just putting my a65 engine together after srm has converted end feed crank conversion and when I bolt it up the new camshaft is tight, so just wondering if there's a bolt tightening sequence for joining the cases
Or any other method ?

New camshaft and new camshaft bushes ?
Sounds like the crankcases were misaligned when the new bushes were reamed.

Hi,

Just a few ideas.
Are there any 'witness' marks on the bushes to show a tight spots?
Can it be turned by hand?
If you slacken the case bolts does it get easier? If so, can it be pushed in against the spring?
I would check that the spring and timed breather disc are sitting correctly.

Dave.
