Title: 1952 B31
Post by: watts on 01 Dec, 2024, 11:18
Which magneto and dynamo should be fitted in this year.
It came with the engine out and mag/dyno off so probably a bit Heinz 57.
It has a MO1L AC52 anticlockwise looking from RHS and a E3LM-1 1-0 clockwise from RHS.
Is looking from the RHS the correct side to determine rotation.
Are the right ones?

Thank you
Matthew

Yep mag is anti-clock and dynamo clockwise when looked at from drive side.
Many Lucas mags and dynamos will fit
My Lucas book says Generator 20013F E3LM for 1950-57.
Magdyno 46031A/B MO1L 1950-54

With most chain driven motorcycles, The Flywheels, Clutch, and Mag all rotate the same way as the wheels.

The mag on a Beezer pre-unit single definately rotates anti-clockwise as neil1965 stated.
