Title: C11 Kickstart pinion
Post by: MikeF on 19 Oct, 2024, 21:19
Hello All.
I am new to the forum but have been a member of the BSAOC for the last 13 years as I have a Bantam D14/4.
I am posting on behalf of a friend that has a C11 3 speed, I don't know the exact year but I think about 1950. His problem is that the kickstart is jumping teeth between the quadrant and pinion both look worn.
I have looked in the parts manual and he needs to replace both quadrant and pinion.
Part numbers 27-4106 and 29-3290 respectively.
After much searching of the usual suppliers such as Draganfly, Classic Bike Parts, Feked, ebay etc. I am beginning to think that "hen's teeth" sums up the situation.
My question is, does anyone have any of these parts or know of anywhere that I could try.
Many thanks.
            Mike.
