Title: Pics of head steady & coil under tank on B44?
Post by: AndrewB44 on 16 Sep, 2024, 09:46
Hey all, has anyone got any pics of their B25/B44 with the tank removed? I want to make sure I'm fitted the head steady and coil area correctly, the parts book only shows a rough location and the workshop manual pics are poor. What I'm looking for is specifics, ie does the head steady bracket go on the left or right frame plate, bolted on the inside or outside? And what does the centre hanging hole support on the head steady bracket?

I'm sure a single pic would also all my Qs!

Andrew

Yeah, that's really helpful - thank you!

Is the nyloc nut in shot through the frame bracket that holds the coil?

Mine looks to be in the right place?

Hi Andrew.
Yes, the nyloc is to secure the HT coil.
Not sure what the bracket on the head steady in your photo is for.

The bracket on the head steady is to mount the horn. Some years/models had it there, some didnt.
