New member and new to bsa ownership,! I have recently gotten an 1964 a50 complete with dating cert stating that it s ex Burmese army.
So far I have gotten it running after it sat for around 20 years and it's running lovely. The speedo doesn't work and there's no cable! Where does the cable run from? Front wheel? Rear wheel??
I'm sure I'll have loads more questions to ask as time goes on but for now any info on the speedo will suffice!!!
Hello and welcome to BSA ownership Garry. If your bike has it's original engine configuration, the speedo drive should be under the Inner timing cover (RHS of engine). On later model A50/A65's the drive was from the RHS of the rear wheel. HTH
