Title: what have I done
Post by: nokesy on 23 Aug, 2024, 21:32
hi all new group,  im an ex biker, from street fighters, superbikes, muscle bikes, then retired at 40ish accident free.  allways longed for a oldie, especially a brit, soft spot for bsa as ex farther in law had one.  bantams kept awaking my intrest. last few weeks had a sod it moment, today bought a lovely(to me) 1967 survivor style 175, not sure what model, but so clean but not show stopper.  love it dispite the "avoid there awful" comments from classic bike forums" anyway, hear is to a weekend of learning and filling, full service incoming (ps love the way it makes my clothes stink and spits oil up my leg

Well done that man!
Have a look on the top of the engine for the number, I think 1967 should make it a D10?
They can be cantankerous but are great fun.
Post a picture when you can.

Ignore the daft insults as they're great little bikes as evidenced by how many are still going. Is it a D10 three-speed? If so look out for a later 4 speed lump as they're nicer to ride.
