Title: C15 chainguard
Post by: phill on 14 Nov, 2017, 17:32
Hi,
Can't get hold of one of these anywhere. Can somebody please help by giving me the exact dimensions as I'm thinking of having one made?

Many thanks,
Phil

I made my own from sheet aluminium.
First make a cardboard pattern.
Cut out the shape with tin snips. hacksaw blade.
Folding into shape needs some planks clamped each side.
The curly bit at the back was made with a separate strip of alloy, bent to a channel,
then using pliers on the side walls  to make  a crinkled effect, the curve could be formed.
The part was fitted with tiny self tappers every inch along.
finally sprayed black to hide my poor workanship!

You could use this photo to get the measurements, but better - find good photo
on line, or on parts supplier.

Done that! - no stock, apparently their supplier has retired and they are trying to find a new one.

Just keep watching ebay on a regular basis, one will turn up. Put an add on other wanted forums, they are nearly all free to join.
