I've finally got hold of some of the elusive "dimpled" BSA type fork sliders for my '69 export A65L.
The ones allegedly machined with a 1° offset for the front axle.
Of course it's not quite as simple as that.
But hopefully I'll be able to get a working set of sliders from the three pictured below.
The next problem is that I haven't managed to find any matching axle caps yet.
I believe that I'm looking for ones with dimples matching the sliders, also machined with a 1° offset.
The Triumph type caps seem to be pretty plentiful, both second hand, and new pattern items.
I'm wondering if I could get away with just fitting the Triumph type, maybe just filing them slightly, or stretching the bolt holes slightly ?
Or maybe I could get someone to machine the Triumph type caps with a more accurate 1° offset ?
