Title: Plunger frame 1951
Post by: V500 on 26 May, 2024, 16:37
Would the same front frame section be used on both rigid and plunger frames in 1951? Somehow my plunger-equipped bike has a frame number in the rigid number sequence and I'm wondering if at some point in the dim and distant someone converted it.

From the 1951/52 parts book the B series frame front part 65 4499 was used on both rigid and plunger "B" models including the B31 B33 Gold Star and B32 and B34 non Gold Star competition models.

Thanks. Now to begin the probably impossible task of finding a rigid rear end to suit. :o

Be cautious.

The plunger and rigid "B" use a different rear wheel.

I was thinking about that potential issue, but I can adapt if needed.
Catalogue originality isn't my over-riding concern.
