Title: BSA B33 gear change sequence
Post by: Meyer on 29 Apr, 2024, 18:13
Hello,

How is the gear change sequence on a BSA B33 1954 ?

First up, 3 down ?

Going for my first ride :-)

Kind regards
Meyer

You are correct. One up and three down. Good luck on your ride out!!

That of course is the correct way round as it's used on Nortons! I could never understand why Edward Turner took the perverse view that it should be up for up on his Triumphs. My Starfire / DR400 hybrid has a well engineered cross over shaft bringing the change out to the right (proper) side but sadly following the Triumph pattern. Another job to add to the list!
