Title: B44 +0.20 piston rings required
Post by: franknjan on 22 Mar, 2024, 13:05
Hi all.
Looking to purchase a set of piston rings for my BSA b441 which is +0.20 oversize.
I've purchased a set of Gandini manufactured rings but I'm not happy with them.
When I've fitted the rings in the barrel to check the gap (no piston) the oil ring gap is 3 thou.
However the two compression rings have gaps of over 25 thou, which doesn't seem right?
I'm going to return the rings.
Does anyone know of someone selling new old stock rings, or rings which could be a better fit?
Thanks.

You could try contacting Anita at PES. Emailing is the best option but explain your request as fully as possible.  pes.sales@btconnect.com

Thanks for the replies.
I've been able to get a full refund on the Gandini rings.
After finding out that B40 pistons are the same size as B44, I've been able to source correct sized rings.
