Back in October I bought a set of replacement contacts from Draganfly for the magdyno on the B32 as the ones in it are a bit pitted and I had already filed them back to a flat surface. However when I came to fit them yesterday I found that the threaded part of the new set has a smaller diameter than the one I took out. The old one has a diameter of 3.95mm but the new one is 3.35mm. I phoned Draganfly who said to send them back. They have recently received a new batch and if the new ones match mine they will send a new set, if not they will refund me.

It seems that the M3.5 mm thread for the adjustable contact of the MO1L is easily stripped and some folks have re-tapped the thread in the carrier to take the adjustable contact from a K2F mag, which I believe is M4 not 3BA as suggested in the WD thread. This would mean I'd have to buy a contact set for an MO1L and a set for a K2f and use the relevant bits of both sets and would cost over £50 altogether. Fortunately I've found a brand new points carrier complete with points online for £30. Probably made in India, I'll see how well it fits.

Well the replacement points and carrier set didn't fit. This isn't surprise me, it will be going back, Meanwhile I have refitted the old set, they should be good enough for a few years yet.
