Title: BSA B44 early 66 kickstrart quadrant
Post by: joesearch on 15 Feb, 2024, 19:10
Is it possible to upgrade a standard early 1966 B44 engine Kickstart quadrant with 5/8" shaft  to have a later  3/4"  quadrant and kickstrart, can you fit a bigger bush in the casing and if so is there enough meet on the case to machine out , or can you get a thinner bush for it without machining? ?

Later casing with steel bush to suit the 3/4" kickstart is the easy answer. Not enough metal in the 5/8" outer cover to make it easy to modify.
