Title: Rocket three numbers?
Post by: Tav on 13 Feb, 2024, 17:44
Hi all. So today I've discovered that my frame and engine numbers do not match. They are about a month different. So my question is this. Could it have been built like that?? Or has it been swapped later. I'm gutted. Any help most welcome   :-[

I would suggest that you apply for a BSAOC dating certificate which would tell you exactly what you have.

Which part of your numbers differ? The prefix letters, the following 5 figure including leading zero or zeros production number or the model suffix?

Generally both numbers would have read the same when the bike left the factory.
