Title: speedo connundrum
Post by: EDDIE SIMPSON on 09 Feb, 2024, 19:56
hello,
only 2 issues left with the a65. this one is a brain teaser.
connect speedo cable and no speed indicated.
drive round the block with the cable disconnected and inner spins away happily.
disconnect cable and drive inner from speedo driive and then  using a drill the speedo works.
i suspect the cable but must be able to get this to work somehow?

Is the squared end of the shaft spinning in the squared tube in the speedo drive?

If you look at the inner cable where it go into the speedo there's a brass collar, sometime they are to far forward stopping the cable engaging the square in the speedo.Hold the cable in a voice and tap the collarr back down. This should enable the cable to engage with the speedo.
