Sorting out the messed up sump holes and have a helicoil kit minus the tap. The drill size is 7mm and is from a M7 kit . What size tap do i need to rethread the hole.
If you are using helicoils you need to use the specific Helicoil tap for the insert used as they are specially made to produce a thread that is larger than the standard size for that particular thread. The insert then becomes the correct thread size after fitment. In this case an M7x1 Helicoil tap. HTH
