Hi,
Could anyone help with information on fitting a folding kickstart on a B31 plunger? I can't readily find one and was wondering if there is alternative?
Thanks...
Don't know if Terry has one, but worth checking with him.

They will probably be OK but they are quite different from the OEM kickstart. https://www.terryweedy.com/kickstarts-bsa-pre-unit.html (https://www.terryweedy.com/kickstarts-bsa-pre-unit.html)
Draganfly advertise the proper part 42-3037 https://draganfly.co.uk/shop/66571/kickstart-assembly-forged/#42-3037 (https://draganfly.co.uk/shop/66571/kickstart-assembly-forged/#42-3037)
But it needs to be back ordered so you might have to wait a while.

They are back in stock - my spare arrived a week or so ago.
Hi,
The confusion I'm finding is that the suppliers are marketing the plunger kickstart lever as 65-3381 or 15-4179 (folding), as per links below:
https://sjmotorcycleengineering.com/products/bsa-b31-b33-m20-m21-m33-folding-kick-start-lever-crank-cotter-pin-65-3381-15-4179
https://britbikes.co.uk/collections/kick-start-levers-rubbers/products/bsa-rigid-plunger-folding-lever-kick-start-crank-m20-m21-b31-b33-65-3381f
Draganfly is listing it as 42-3037 for years 1949-62, elsewhere it states its for the swinging arm model:
https://draganfly.co.uk/shop/66571/kickstart-assembly-forged/#42-3037
https://www.classicbikeshop.co.uk/bsa-a10-rgs-b31-b33-kickstart-crank-42-3037.html
The part book lists the folding kickstart with 65-3460 + 65-2427 + 65-3428 + 29-5156
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks....
I thought that the rigid/plunger B and M series had a larger diameter kickstart shaft than the swinging arm A and B models so cannot see Draganfly 42 3037 fitting the plunger box?
I don't think there is a difference.
Hi Folks,
All sorted, thanks for the help.
Best wishes...
