Title: Noisy B31
Post by: yellow B31 on 04 Sep, 2023, 14:30
After a few false starts I now have my B31 running well. It bowls along nicely and the engine has a sweet spot just below 50 mph.  However the pattern silencer is just a little too loud. Anyone else had a similar problem and experimented with a home made baffle to slip in the silencer. Would be interested in any positive results.

The noise from my B32 exhaust has never bothered me although some might say it's quite loud.  ;D
I guess you could try one of these :

Spot on. Didn't know there was such a think. Like the second one. Will give it a try.

I've fitted VW beetle tail pipes to my 'bikes. I had to turn up a spacer. to make up the difference in diameter. Easy job if you know any one with with a lathe. My mate says it makes them sound like a  strangled f**T.  I used aluminium for mine.
