Title: Clutch plates
Post by: chrisx1 on 02 Aug, 2023, 16:16
Is there an inside and outside to the clutch plates on a 3 spring A65 clutch. Meaning does one side have slightly rounded tangs that should face out?

Hi Chris,
They will fit anyway around, they are not specific.

Best wishes...

Any roundedness on the tangs are because the plates are stamped out. You could dress the otherwise up with a fine file to remove any burrs which will improve clutch feel, check your cushdrive and chainwheel doesn't have any notches whilst you have it apart, replace as appropriate. anything to aid a smooth and light clutch.
