Title: B44VS yoke bolt anomoly?
Post by: Ncoastbykr on 11 Jul, 2023, 20:06
I'm working on 1968 B44VS. I'm at the inspection and disassembly and imspection0 stage and I've come upon something unusual, at least to me. The pinch bolts on the lower yoke of the front fork have drilled and tapped. I assume that the possibility of previous owner making individual mods is real. But does anyone have an explanation of the purpose of this mode? Could this be a Factory mod?

a picture?
drilled and tapped which way? lengthways, across ways?

initial thoughts, could be lightening or mounting of a competition number plate.
