Does anyone know if theres a sequence for the assembly of the air slide cables per a65 hornet? As far as i am aware all cables and junction box etc conform to spec but what a fidley job! It may be the pork sausages which double as fingers but maybe its just a sod of a job? Any guidance would be gratefully recieved. Thanks all.
Dave.
It is a fiddly job and, from memory, I think I connected the twins cables to the internal slide first and, while trying to hold them in place, to then connect the single cable from the choke lever and afterwards to push an end cover over the slide to stop the cable nipples popping out. I think you have to fit the junction box before connecting the cables to the choke lever and carbs to give yourself enough free play.
Thanks Spaceman. I did as you suggested and bingo! It worked. Still fidley but doable. Its flagged up a secondary problem in that i now suspect the choke cable is a little too long! Does anyone have the correct measurements for said cable? There must be hundreds of pattern ones out there but are ther any originals left?
Thanks again. Dave
