Hi How do you remove the collar from the clutch sleeve . It's on a 1961 M21.

I guess that it depends which clutch you have in your M20, bearing in mind that it is over 60 years old and, as is typical, may well have had various up grades.

According to service sheet 610 (http://service%20sheet%20610) (October 1848) up to engine number YM-101 you use clutch extractor tool ((number 4) with external 1" thread 24 tpi.

The 6 later spring clutch used on most pre-unit BSAs is covered in service sheet 308 (http://service%20sheet%20308) and the part number for the pulleOEM: 61-3362 and looks like this:

Later 3/4 spring clutches (often used and upgrade for the 6-spring clutch - not sure why!) use the same extractor as my Triumphs, 60-1861 3766 7014 DA50/1 D652/3:

Hope that helps!?
