Working on a crankshaft from a dated 65 rocket engine. Had a breeze of a job removing sludge plug as the engine itself is looking std and well cared for! The original plug measured 13/32 deep whereas the replacement hex drive measures 5/16 depth. My question being should the plug screw in flush with the web or until it bottoms against the trap itself? Advice please. Dave.
