Title: Crank case filler
Post by: chrisx1 on 11 Apr, 2023, 11:21
You're supposed to put 1/2 pint of oil in crank case after changing oil but I can only see the gearbox filler cap. Where do you put it?

Hi,
Remove rocker box cover or through the crankcase timing hole at the front of the crankcase.

Best wishes...

It doesn't do any harm but the only time I am aware that you need to put 1/2 pint (or is it a pint) of oil in the crankcase is after an engine rebuild - I don't think it serves any purpose doing this after an oil change?

Have you drained the crankcase ?
