I am rebuilding my 1967 C25 Barracuda from the nuts and bolts up. I have a BSA publication for replacements parts for the model B25 Starfire (catalogue number 00-5709, dated 1970) which lists tread type and bolt/stud sizes in the parts list. I think I read somewhere that 1967 was a transition year for fixings so to double check I got hold of a spares list for the C25 (catalogue number 00-5133) expecting that there would be a similar level of detail for the fixings; this was not the case. I know that it will not matter that much if I order, say, a nut and bolt to fix the mudguards as I know they will be compatible. However, in replacing any studs or nuts that tread straight onto the frame etc. I do need to know the size and tread type that would have been used.
My question of the BSA Owners' club forum's "hive mind" is where can I find a list of the nut, bolt and stud sizes that were fitted to a 1967 C25? If you can help, I would be really grateful.
Hi KCF21
Please see the attached excel file, if you have the part numbers this may help you can also use the filters at the top.
Best Regards Mark
Hi Mark,
thank you for your amazing list - very long and very comprehensive. However, I'm sorry to write that it does not include many of the C25 part numbers which from the spares list (catalogue No. 00-5133) list many C25 part numbers with just 5 digits, for example crankcase to barrel studs are listed as part number 40-865. A few are also listed with just 4 digits; the two barrel to head studs are listed with the part number 76-28. Do you have any further wisdom to share in this matter - thanks for the help that you have given so far,
Kevin
Hi Kevin
Try putting zeros in front of the second set of numbers to make them four digits and see if it works. eg 40-865 becomes 40-0865.
The Draganfly website is useful for this info too. The have useful diagrams so you know you have the correct part and usually include the thread sizes I the item description too.

Hi Mark, Greenfield and Beesy,
the three of you together have provided me with the answer; the Excel list is comprehensive, yes to adding a zero to the 5 digit numbers and yes to looking at Draganfly's website. I can now order new studs with confidence - thank you so much!
Kevin
Just in case anyone else is trying to get fasteners for a C25/B25 timing side outer cover the Allen screw length for part number 40-0234 (as shown in the excel file above should read 1-11/16th long and not 11/16th long and I claim the title of nerd of the month,
