Title: BSA B31 clutch
Post by: Ronnierockets on 08 Mar, 2023, 21:05
Hi  I am looking for a clutch centre nut for a 1946 rigid bsa (it's the one with the narrow gearbox)
I have tried a few bsa parts suppliers without success
Can anyone suggest a supplier ,or perhaps have a spare one they might sell
Thanks ..

Have you tried Draganfly? They are listing one.  Good luck!

Do you know thread size, dimensions etc? I could see if I can make one on the lathe.

Hi,thank you all for your reply's ;had a root through my gearbox spares ,to compare shaft threads
(on the clutch end)
the early 46 shaft and the plunger shaft threads looked the same ,
So I brought both of them to an engineering shop ,and they confirmed that both threads were the same,
  5/8"x20tpi
(happy days) I now have ordered a clutch centre nut and it's on its way
Thanks to all for your suggestions and help
